With 5 hours and 30 minutes remaining, you hit the target of 500,000,000! That’s half a billion (and there would be countless more if we included all the failed missions)! There were some worried faces at various points throughout this challenge — concerned that they thought this wouldn’t be toppled, but you prove time and time again that you’re capable of any challenge we throw at you (and then some)!

Three issues arose so far. First not all console kills were making into the counter so we had to backfill those when it was identified (spike 1). The second issue was script kiddies uploading false records, this caused both the overflow type drop we saw early on and also saw them try to send in kill reports to the tune of hundreds of thousands (We choked them out though, so they don't impact the numbers or charts you're making, it just served to waste their already wasted time). Last issue was s breakdown in communication during a night, which led to the flatline and subsequent second peak.

Heroes, Welcome to another development update.

Community Challenge News You’re on to the 8th day of the Community Challenge, around 57% through the allotted time, and you’re around 56% through the required kills. When we set out we wanted this to be somewhere between a ‘safe’ and ‘nail-biting’ challenge. Right now, however, we’re out of nails and we’re chewing on fingers.

We’re hoping this bonus length double XP weekend and the promise of a bonus triple XP day for completing the challenge is enough to tip the scales! Now get slaying! (but first, check out the rest of this Developer Update of course!)

At 2pm UTC today we have enabled Double XP for all players, on all platforms, for all games! Now's a great time to stay home, level up, and help us all Play Apart Together.

Don't forget we're also challenging you to slay 500,000,000 Skaven, Norscans or Beastmen[www.vermintide.com] (or any combination of flesh you meet, aside from your team mates...) before the end of play on April 30th and earn you and your hero friends a lovely new portrait frame exclusive to this event.

As a bonus, we can also announce that should you beat the Community Challenge we'll also activate 24 hours TRIPLE XP on May 1st!

The Community Challenge is still ongoing and you can still join - it will be running until April 30th. With this challenge we wish to invite you as a community to come together and help the Reikland.

So far your combined efforts have accumulated a staggering total 155,947,217 enemies defeated! It's horribly impressive.

We just set the Tzeentchian Twins Weekly Event live, which for those who can handle it is a great way to bloat the stats! In this event enemies you dispatch will materialise in to two lesser enemies, and so on, until you're left with chaff to kill. You can find this on the mission screeen in the Keep (press M).

Play Apart Together. Fill the bar by defeating Skaven, Rotblood, and Beastmen in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and be rewarded with a new portrait frame.

As a video game company we often have a few additional process to onboard with a charity item like this, they need to sign stuff off, the item has to not cross the lines of the charity message (eg: Guns or such). Things need to be done properly :) As soon as that's done we will make noise, and there will be plenty of time left to decide.

Heroes! Welcome to a relatively short Developer Update. We’ve been busy putting the Community Event live this week, where you've been tasked to slay 500,000,000 pactsworn over roughly 14 days. It’s a fairly big ask and so far you’re a little bit behind the curve! Step it up or else we’re just going to throw away a pretty cool portrait frame.

We put a great deal of science into coming up with the perfect number. Then with minutes to spare, we extended the event by four days and just picked a new, higher number that sounds about right. So honestly, this is on you guys now to sort out, ok?

There are also some rules we didn’t fully explain in some of our earlier messages around this event!
  • Only Official Realm matches count. No spawning mad hordes on the modded realm. We’re on to you.
  • Only Wins count! That’s right, we don’t give boxes to losers, and we don’t count their kills either, at least not for this event. Git...

Take into account a great deal of factors, and then add a certain % on top to come up with the perfect goal of 500,000,000 in 14 days. We believe you can do it!

Heroes, Welcome to patch 2.4 on PC that brings you some fixes and tweaks to Old Haunts and Enchanter’s Lair as well as some bug fixes.

2.4 Patch Notes Levels
  • Enchanter's Lair:
    • Added water collision on blood surface.
    • Removed interactable units and flow on the paintings found throughout the level.
    • Player camera should no longer break if a player rescuable in the boss room before encounter cutscene.
    • Barrel marker should no longer get stuck when hotjoining in to a match in progress.
    • "All heroes must be present" prompt now appears for clients when host is not at the door.
    • Nurgloth - Final Phase eruptions no longer deal any damage to bots.
    • Fixed a few spots where players can get stuck.
